Allergies, allergy symptoms - everything you need to know

Allergy
Allergy - a state of heightened sensitivity of the animal organism in relation to a particular substance or substances (allergens) that develops with repeated exposures. Physiological mechanism of allergy involves the formation of antibodies that leads to a decrease or increase its sensitivity. Allergy manifested silnysm irritation of mucous membranes, skin sypyami, general malaise, and so on.
By allergic reactions in clinical practice as an expression, at the origin of which is an immunological conflict. In the diagnosis of allergic reactions is important to identify the allergen, its causal relationship with the clinical manifestations and the type of immunological reaction. There is a common pathogenic principle of separation of 4 types of allergic reactions.
Allergic diseases among children is now widespread, growing the number and severity. This is due, apparently, to environmental pollution by exhaust fumes, industrial waste, the emergence of a domestic set of synthetic materials, dyes and other substances that are allergens, and thus contribute to the spread of allergic diseases. The widespread and uncontrolled use of drugs also leads to an increase in allergic reactions. Increased sensitivity to drugs is often precipitated by excessive use of simultaneous multiple drugs (polypharmacy), uncontrolled antibiotics, lack of knowledge by doctors pharmacokinetics of the drug. In the occurrence of allergic diseases play a role of influence of climatic factors, heredity, somatic pathology, the nature of power and so on.
Thus, an allergy - it is pathologically increased and perverted reaction to certain antigenic substances of nature, which in normal individuals do not cause ill effects. Important role in the development of allergies is given as the nervous, endocrine systems, pathology of the gastrointestinal tract, and so on. Cause allergies can be a variety of substances which, entering the body, causing an immune response humoral or cell type.

Alimentary allergy
Food allergy - an allergic reaction to the food allergens that may occur when you use whole milk, egg whites, fish (perch, cod, etc.), crayfish, crabs, grasses, legumes, strawberries, nuts, citrus, chocolate and other products.
Allergic reaction (food allergy) appears each time after taking food allergy and the severity of the reaction depends on the concentration of antibodies in human blood.
With food allergies, there are signs the defeat of the gastrointestinal tract (violations of the motor and secretory function).
In the investigation of food allergy may be the general reaction (fever, drop in blood pressure, changes in the blood). Isolated manifestations of food allergy - hives, angioedema, bronchitis, itchy skin, eczema and so on.

Allergy Symptoms
Allergies can occur in forms such as: respiratory allergy, inhalant allergy, allergic conjunctivitis, allergic dermatitis, allergic enteropathy, anaphylactic shock.
Respiratory allergies caused by allergens, which presentedin in the air as gases or very fine dust - aeroallergens.
Upon contact with the mucous membrane of respiratory tract aeroallergen causing symptoms of respiratory disease - the sneezing, itchy nose, watery nasal discharge, coughing, wheezing and asthma in the lungs. Allergic rhinitis (runny nose) and asthma - the main manifestations of respiratory allergy.
Respiratory allergy symptoms are very similar to the symptoms of colds. Whatever their differences, need to know the features typical for allergy: a normal body temperature, nasal discharge and transparent liquid, sneezing, frequent and repeated; symptoms last much longer than a cold.
Aeroallergen can also cause allergic conjunctivitis. Its symptoms: burning eyes, tearing.
Allergic skin reaction called allergic dermatitis. They can cause a variety of allergens: food and aeroallergen, metals and household chemicals, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. They directly affect the skin, as well as enter the body through the respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract, with injections or insect bites. The main symptoms of allergic: itching and redness of the skin rash on the type of eczema, peeling, dryness, swelling, blisters.
Are quite common and allergic reactions to foods and medicines from the gastrointestinal tract. Their symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea (diarrhea), constipation, swelling of lips, tongue (angioedema), intestinal colic.
Anaphylaxis - the most serious manifestations of allergy. It may occur in the interval from several seconds to five hours after being hit by the allergen in the body. Symptoms of anaphylactic shock: loss of consciousness, severe shortness of breath, cramps, rashes all over his body, vomiting, involuntary urination and defecation. When you see these symptoms, call immediately for an ambulance. The most common causes of anaphylactic shock - it's an allergy to insect stings and medications.
